“The Government response to the consultation regarding the relaxation of licensing hours for the Royal Wedding was published yesterday.
The Government is going to proceed with a licensing hours order to allow licensed premises in England and Wales additional trading hours for the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises and the provision of late night refreshment, where premises are already licensed to provide these activities. The extra hours that will be permitted are:
The extension of hours will not apply to off sales of alcohol, or any form of regulated entertainment.
