New regulations extending the period during which licensed premises can benefit from an automatic permission to provide off-sales have been made today (England and Wales).
The original permission, granted under the Business and Planning Act 2020 lasted until September 2021 and was extended last year until 30th September 2022, but has now been extended again until 30th September 2023.
The Alcohol Licensing (Coronavirus) (Regulatory Easements) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 were made today and come into effect on 29th September 2022.
