“Today the Government have announced that the current guidance in several areas of the North East of England that currently advises residents not to mix with others outside of their household will become enforceable by law from 00:01 tomorrow morning (30th September 2020).
This will apply to the following areas:
The new law applies to most indoor settings, including pubs, restaurants and bars. It does not apply to COVID-secure schools and workplaces.
It is not clear how long this restriction will be in force for, but further updates will follow.
