Licensing law firm, Poppleston Allen, has again sponsored the Business Leader of the Year award at the Morning Advertiser’s Publican Awards.
Attended by over 1500 people from the world of pubs, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, this was a fantastic night of celebrations; and the first face-to-face event since before the Covid 19 pandemic.
The awards themselves, often referred to as the ‘Oscars of the pub and restaurant sector’, have a rigorous judging process, ensuring that they remain the most respected in the leisure sector.
The winner of the Poppleston Allen sponsored Business Leader of the Year award was Peter Borg-Neal, executive chairman and founder of Oakman Inns.
Peter was recognised for driving his business forward through acquisitions to grow his portfolio, funding initiatives to support growth an and very impressive trading figures across the estate.
Commenting on his acquisition of Seafood PubCo, Borg-Neal commented: “As expected, it has been a good cultural fit and the business and seamlessly merged into the Oakman family. The Pubs are trading well and present a new dimension to our expansion plans for the future.
