“Further to our previous e-news, we now understand from Tower Hamlets that the period for the making of free applications for minor variations to reduce hours to midnight to avoid the Levy is from 1st February 2017 to 30th April 2017.
Any licensed premises which are permitted to supply alcohol up to and including midnight will not be liable to pay the Levy.
Letters from the authority are to be sent out shortly to all Premises Licence holders and Club Premises Certificate Holders within the borough.
We shall provide you with further information once it is to hand, including whether it is possible to amend your licence to suspend your ‘Levy hours’ rather than remove them completely, in order to avoid paying the Levy whilst it is in force.”
