“With the Welsh Assembly having backed the legislation back in June, the Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Wales) Bill has now received Royal Assent.
Welsh Ministers will be able to establish a minimum unit price for alcohol supplied in Wales. The minimum unit price will be specified within regulations that are yet to be set by the Welsh Government and consultation is expected to take place this year.
According to the Welsh Government website it is expected that minimum unit pricing for Wales will come into force in summer 2019.”
